PROCEDURE FOR SUBDIVISION PERMIT APPLICATIONS


1. Pick up subdivision permit application, by either:

a) Going to the Community Council Office in the North Shore Community Centre on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, between the hours of 9 AM and 5PM.

b) Requesting an application by calling the Community Council Office at 1 902-672-1586, by emailing Joanne at ncss@pei.aibn.com or by visiting the community website www.stanhopecovehead.pe.ca, printing the application and dropping or mailing the document to the Community Council Office. Completed scanned applications can also be emailed to the Administrator at nscc@pei.aibn.com

c)Or by mailing a request for the document to

2. Check with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC), Suite 501, 134 Kent St., P.O. 577, Charlottetown, PE C1A 7L1, 1 902 892 3501 to see if your property is designated as non development under the PEI Lands Protection Act.

3. Submit the application to the Community for consideration. Also, we only accept applications which have the appropriate subdivision permit fee (see below) attached. When preliminary approval is given:

4. Go to 31 Gordon Drive, Charlottetown, and arrange to have test pits dug on your property for your Sewage System Disposal Permit.

5. Once you have received your test pit results, submit the results to the Community to be added to your subdivision permit application file.

6. When you are notified by the Community to have the survey done, contact the surveyor and have the survey completed. You must advise the surveyor of any conditions of the survey,(we suggest that you take the letter from the Community to the surveyor). Submit 8 copies of your completed and signed survey plan by either: a) dropping them off at the Community office in the North Shore Community Centre on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, between the hours of 9 AM and 5PM. or b) mailing them to:
